FAQ
Pilates is a gentle yet deep muscle-strengthening method developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. It is based on fundamental principles such as breathing, control, precision, fluidity, and concentration.
Accessible to everyone, Pilates can be adapted to different levels and needs:
Beginners seeking to improve posture and flexibility
Athletes aiming to strengthen muscles deeply and prevent injuries
Individuals with chronic pain (back, joints)
Pregnant and postpartum women (with specific adaptations)
Seniors looking for gentle exercise while strengthening deep muscles
To begin under the best conditions, each new client is invited to take a private assessment session. This allows the instructor to evaluate your level, adapt exercises to your needs, and guide you toward the most suitable group classes.
With our Discovery Offer, enjoy two private sessions and one group class at a special rate.
Offer reserved for new clients and valid only on the first purchase.
Wear clean, comfortable sports clothing such as leggings, shorts, or a t-shirt — the key is to move freely.
Pilates is practiced in regular or non-slip socks, the latter providing better grip on the equipment.
For your comfort, tea and water are available at the studio.
You can cancel a class at any time by contacting your instructor through your usual communication method.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
More than 24 hours in advance: your deposit will be refunded.
Less than 24 hours in advance: the deposit will be retained to cover the late cancellation.
Since our classes are small (5–6 participants maximum), it’s essential to inform us as soon as possible, even at the last minute. This not only frees up your spot for someone on the waiting list but also allows the instructor, who has prepared the session with your presence in mind, to adjust accordingly.
This level is open to everyone, whether you are a beginner or already experienced. It establishes the essential foundations of your practice: the principles of the Pilates method, how the equipment works, and proper body alignment.
Even advanced practitioners return regularly, as solid foundations are the key to lasting progression.
Our studio teaches classical Pilates using specific equipment that may differ from what you’ve used elsewhere. It’s important to take the time to discover and master these tools.
To progress to the Intermediate level, you must have completed at least 12 Foundations sessions and obtain approval from your instructor.
Every pregnancy is unique, and we take these precious months very seriously. With medical approval, expectant mothers can book private sessions throughout their pregnancy, allowing them to practice safely and according to their individual needs.
Regular group classes are not suitable for pregnant women. We recommend private sessions for personalized guidance and support.
It depends on your physical condition. It is essential to have approval from your doctor.
We recommend booking a private session so that we can adapt the training to your specific needs. All our instructors are trained and familiar with numerous modifications, making Pilates accessible and safe for everyone.
The safety and comfort of our clients are our top priority. We implement the following measures:
Regular disinfection of all equipment (Reformer, mats, accessories) after each use
Hand sanitizer available at the studio entrance and in common areas
Non-slip socks recommended for better hygiene and safety
Spacing of mats and equipment to respect social distancing
We ensure that everyone can practice Pilates safely in a clean and pleasant environment.
Unfortunately, we do not have showers on site. The studio is located in an Alsatian house in the city center, which limits the possible facilities. Thank you for your understanding!
Recommended Frequency for Optimal Results
For optimal results and safe progression, it is recommended to practice Pilates at least 1 to 2 times per week. This helps strengthen deep muscles, improve flexibility, and maintain good posture.
If you are a beginner or have specific goals, even one session per week is a great start. Everyone is different, so it’s important to listen to your body. We can adjust the frequency of sessions according to your needs and pace.
